Zoom Weddings NYC

Yes, New York Zoom Weddings (or virtual weddings) are the new thing and I love being part of them!! It is true, weddings were thrown a curveball in 2020 but that does NOT mean that love is canceled. Thanks to Governor Andrew Cuomo and ‘Project Cupid’, we were granted an executive order to hold weddings virtually. Getting married online is really easy and frankly a charming experience to tie the knot in these uncertain times. In the simplest terms, you need a wedding officiant and your marriage license. Below you’ll find information for both! And click RIGHT HERE if you would like to book a ZOOM WEDDING.

Marriage License for a New York Zoom Wedding:

You are required to have your marriage license for 24 hours before you can get married.
If you haven’t started this process, I suggest you do it right away as timing of appointments can be delicate.

Marriage License Process:

1 – Fill out an application through ‘Project Cupid’ with the NYC City Clerk’s office.

2 – After that, secure an online interview appointment with the City Clerk’s office.

Insider Tips: If you find it tough to get an appointment don’t stress just be persistent to check back regularly especially at 9am when they open.
Also, follow @NYCClerk on Twitter to see all announcement for releasing new appointment slots.

3 – Complete approval appointment with the City Clerk’s office.
Be advised that both of you must be physically in the state of NY for your appointment.
At that time, you’ll get your marriage license sent to you as a pdf.

4 – Send the marriage license to your marriage officiant, aka Jackie Reinking Officiant, to prep it for your virtual ceremony.
